O.k. friends, if you are not a football fan, you might want to sit this one out. Even more so, if you are driven by political correctness and nicety, Please stop reading this particular post because this post specifically deals with a great passion and love of my life; NFL football. Even further, this blog post deals with the Dallas Cowboys; the football team I have followed with intense passion my entire life.

You see, since the days of my youth I have loved “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys. I have followed them through thick and thin and now as we are on the very verge of greatness, I am taking this time to call QB Tony Romo out.

Mr. Romo, you performed well under pressure against the Lions yesterday. It was a good start towards your redemption. It was a good start, but you are not even close to football redemption. You must win in Green Bay next week and then win the game after that. If you do that, you will finally reach the Super Bowl that has eluded you your entire career.

The time has come my friend, to step into greatness and achieve your destiny. The time has come now for you to shut up all the Dallas Cowboy haters in this world. The time has come for you to rise and be counted for.

Tony Romo, this entire season, this entire playoff run rests on your shoulders and it is time for you to finally prove your worth. The time has come and next weekend against Green Bay, will be your high noon. There will be no place on earth for you to hide. You must win. You must rise up, take this team and the entire Cowboy nation on your shoulders and play the best game of your freaking life. Go out now and earn your 100 million dollar contract!

Year after year after year you have not gotten it done. Frankly you have dropped the ball in the playoffs literally and figuratively. Almost every season in your entire career, you have folded and choked when your moment of truth has come. Well, Mr. Tony Romo, the time has come. The day has arrived. Your moment is now. Not next year. You must win now.

I am very bitter against you for choking when it matters the most, but all will be forgiven if you beat Green Bay on Sunday and then take this team to Superbowl glory.

Tony, for the last several years I have sat alone in Dallas in front of the television set, screaming at you and that TV, angry that you guys could not get it done against Philadelphia, New York and Washington. I have sat alone, wanting to believe that, “next year will be better.”

Well, Mr. Romo, you must dig deep and realize that you are not getting younger and your back is not getting any better. You must believe that the game against Green Bay is your last chance at sports redemption, and as Al Davis always said, “just win baby.”

Tony Romo, this is your last stand. Win or go home. If you lose you may never get a chance at redemption again. Win and you may sit in the hallowed halls of Dallas Cowboy immortality.

It is time for you to take your seat in sports valhalla with Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman.

I believe in you Tony. The entire Dallas Cowboy empire believes in you. For once in your life, dig deep and put your big boy pants on and will this team to victory.

There are no tomorrows, there are no second chances, this is your last stand Mr. Romo. Win or go home.
